The best book I've read on health - ever

I'm currently working on my next book - which is all about health and how we can make new, healthy habits stick. So I'm reading a lot about health right now too. I'm a long time fan of Dr Peter Attia (love his podcast The Drive) and he recently released his book Outlive. I devoured it over a few days and it was totally brilliant. Jam-packed with practical and evidence-based strategies and tactics to optimise our health, well into older age.

Need a PDF document summarised?

Check out ChatPPF. Simply upload your PDF document (e.g. an article) and it will provide you with a short summary. Even better, you can then ask ChatPDF questions about the article, and from the ones I uploaded, the answers were very accurate.

Turn voice recordings into studio quality - for free

OMG I am in love with this software: Enhance from Adobe. Take a crappy audio recording - whether that be a Zoom meeting through to a voice memo - run it through this (currently free) software - and it will make your audio file sound like it was recorded in a top notch studio.

Built-in background sounds on iPhone

Did you know that your iPhone has built-in background sounds like rain, ocean, or stream to mask unwanted noise? I learn this tip via Recomendo, one of my favourite e-newsletters. I've been using this feature to mask some very annoying construction noise going on next door my home. To switch it on, go to: Settings > Accessibility > Audio Visual > Background Sounds.

Set up your medical ID

On the topic of Apple, I was lucky enough to be invited to an Apple Health event during the week. There were many great take-outs, but this is my number one tip for you (if you own an iPhone or Apple Watch): take five minutes to set up your medical ID. Emergency responders can actually access this information from the Lock Screen without needing your passcode. Hopefully you will never need to find this out - but if you do, this tip could save your life.
