Last month, a friend let me down in a major way. Cue hours of mental replays, analysis paralysis, and stress spirals.
During one of our neighbourhood walks, I unloaded the drama to my mum.
She simply asked: "Would you invite this friend to stay in your house?"
Me: "Hell no - they're behaving like a complete b*tch."
Mum: "Then why are you letting them stay in your head?"
Mental eviction notice served.
Next time someone upsets you, ask yourself: Would you like them as a houseguest? If not, don't give them the keys to your mental abode.
Let it go. Your headspace deserves better tenants.

Cheers
