How to beat worrying

As someone who has a tendency to worry (read: catastrophise), I found this post very helpful (and humorous). I will now be applying the magic question: Is there anything I can do about this?

What does the future of work look like?

My Inventium teammate Charlotte Rush has been leading a big research project to explore the biggest trends that are shaping the world of work in 2024 and beyond. You can check out 7 key insights that you need to be across (which are especially critical if you are leading a team or a business).

How to be a great manager

I have spent the last five months back in a manager role. I wish I had read this post 5 months ago as it has some great, practical, evidence-backed tips on how to be a better manager. (Plus: Writer Eric Barker makes everything entertaining - even management tips).

A better way to think about setting boundaries at work

I am a huge fan of Laura Mae Martin (Google’s Executive Productivity Advisor). I recently had her back on How I Work for a third (!) time. She shared a tonne of practical productivity advice, but one of the strategies that stuck with me is around boundary setting. She recommends putting your boundaries in your email signature - and saying what you do do, not what you don’t.

For example, your email footer could say “I only check emails between 9-5, M-F.” (Instead of: I don’t check email on weekends). I plan to adopt this strategy - I am just contemplating what boundary feels right for me.

How to avoid leaving things behind in hotel rooms

I loved this tip from Dan Pink on how to avoid losing things or leaving things behind in hotel rooms. All you need is a towel…
