Extract text from images on websites and PDFs
Don't you hate it when you want to copy and paste some text from a document or website but it's a bloody image file so you can't actually copy the text! Annoying. But I've found a solution. Text Sniper lets you screenshot the image and converts it to text. Super easy, and you can try it out for free.
Convert text to non-robotic sounding speech
There is some great software that converts speech to text (such as Rev, Descript, and even MS Word), but a team mate sent me some interesting software that does the reverse - it lets you type or paste in text and uses AI speech software to voice the words in a lifelike, and non-robotic way. You can even ask it to clone your own voice by feeding it some samples of you talking.
Feeling a bit low? Exercise may help more than therapy
A study just published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine reviewed over 1000 experiments into the impact of exercise on depression, anxiety and psychological distress. The researchers stated, "When comparing the size of the benefits of exercise to other common treatments for mental health conditions from previous systematic reviews, our findings suggest exercise is around 1.5 times more effective than either medication or cognitive behaviour therapy."
