An easy way to spend less time on the socials
In the last few months, especially while in the depths of publicity for Time Wise, I have spent far too much time on Instagram than is ideal (at least by my own personal standards). I set the time limit on my iPhone to kick me off after 15 minutes per day, but it's so easy to override that reminder when I am watching incredibly important videos about skincare routines and other life-critical topics. But I have discovered a solution: One Sec. One Sec is an app that automatically opens when you click on your social media poison of choice, and it forces you to take one deep breath before asking if you still want to open the app. Thanks to One Sec, when I feel the urge to check Instagram, I now remember that I have to take a deep breath and wait one second, which all seems too hard and time-consuming, and I opt to not even open Instagram and get on with my day.
Create a podcast interview...with your mum
A few months ago, I gave a shout-out to Storyworth, which I have been using with my parents to create a book of stories from their life. I recently came across Tales, an audio version of Storyworth. Tales provides a professional interviewer to speak with your loved one and deliver a studio-quality audio recording that, according to their website, you'll cherish forever. I haven't tried this service personally, but thought it looked like a super interesting thing to try out.
It's time to implement meeting-free days
I have recently started experimenting with having a meeting-free day every Wednesday. And of course, because Inventium runs a Four Day Week, I never have meetings on Fridays. If you have thought about implementing meeting-free days in your company or even just for yourself or your team, check out this research published in MIT's Sloan Management Review. The researchers found that "the optimum number of meeting-free days is three, leaving two days per week available for meetings, for two reasons: maintaining social connections and managing weekly schedules."

Cheers
